Israeli Forces Intercept Gaza Aid Flotilla Near Cyprus in High-Seas Piracy Raid
May 18, 2026
HIGH-SEAS PIRACY AGAIN!!
The war on humanitarian aid has moved to the open ocean. In what is being slammed as a blatant act of maritime piracy, Israeli naval forces have intercepted and boarded multiple vessels from the Global Sumud Flotilla in international waters off the coast of Cyprus. The fleet of over 50 civilian ships had just set sail from Marmaris, Türkiye, carrying vital humanitarian supplies and peaceful activists from nearly 70 countries in a direct bid to shatter the illegal, near-two-decade blockade on the besieged Gaza Strip.
Instead of allowing life-saving aid to reach a starving population, the Israeli military deployed a massive naval interception campaign to violently hijack the convoy in broad daylight.
Organizers confirmed that forces aggressively boarded multiple civilian vessels—including the Turkish boat Munki—which reported coming under severe harassment and direct attack.
They regrouped, they added more boats, and the Israeli military attacked them yet again. This time, the Israeli military didn’t wait for the cover of night. Armed commandos stormed civilian peace boats in broad daylight, committing open piracy on the high seas to ensure a starving population remains cut off from the world.
BREAK THE BLOCKADE! STAND WITH THE FLOTILLA. 🇵🇸
