Australian Flotilla Activist Alleges Abuse by Israel, Criticizes Government Response

Violet Maree CoCo, @violet_coco_canary an activist from Australia has finally arrived home and shared her experience after being abducted and detained by IDF soldiers in international waters while aboard the Global Sumud Flotilla humanitarian mission.
Holding back tears while reading her statement, she said:
“Israel beat, tortured, and sexually assaulted me and my fellow humanitarian peace activists for days. What got me through was thinking about coming home. And now that I am home, I can’t stop thinking about the brothers and sisters we left behind.”
The suffering she endured while fighting for Palestinian freedom and helping deliver humanitarian aid to Palestinians, especially children affected by the war and bombings from Israel and US, is heartbreaking.
These activists sailed on a humanitarian mission. They carried aid, not weapons.
So how can they be intercepted in international waters, detained, and abused?
This is cruelty. This is evil.
It raises serious questions about violations of international law and human rights.
How much longer will this continue?
