As first responders in Lebanon face unprecedented danger on the ground, a vital, grassroots lifeline has been launched to protect and equip them. A small group of independent journalists operating in Lebanon has started a direct crowdfunding campaign on FundaHope to support volunteer paramedics, rescuers, and firefighters who are risking their lives under non-stop bombardment.
With healthcare infrastructure heavily under fire, this independent initiative bypasses bureaucratic red tape to put protective documentation gear and medical supplies directly into the hands of those answering the sirens.
According to Lebanon’s Ministry of Health, since March 2, 2026, the human cost among rescue workers has been catastrophic. At least 113 healthcare workers have been killed, 263 injured, and 138 emergency vehicles damaged or completely vaporized, forcing multiple hospitals to shut down.
The campaign has set an urgent $50,000 goal to get these life-saving kits deployed immediately.
