Israeli Citizen Cleared in Las Vegas Biolab Case as Judge Cites Interests of Justice
May 29, 2026
LAS VEGAS, NV — Federal prosecutors have dismissed the firearms case against Ori Solomon, the 55-year-old property manager arrested earlier this year following a high-profile multi-agency raid on a suspected illegal biological laboratory in northeast Las Vegas.
In a motion filed in the U.S. District Court for Nevada, the U.S. Attorney’s Office stated that after a careful review of the evidence and additional information provided by the defense, “the interests of justice require dismissal of the complaint at this time.” The federal gun charge originally stemmed from Solomon’s status as a dual French-Israeli national residing in the U.S. on a non-immigrant work visa, which prosecutors initially argued legally precluded him from owning or possessing firearms.
While the federal weapons charge has been dropped without prejudice, Solomon’s legal battles are far from over. He still faces state-level felony charges in Clark County for the improper disposal and discharge of hazardous waste.
The investigation began in late January when the FBI and Las Vegas Metro Police raided an unlicensed short-term rental property managed by Solomon. Inside a locked garage, investigators uncovered refrigerators, vials, and over 1,000 containers of unknown liquids. The site was later linked to Chinese nationals connected to a notorious 2023 unlicensed laboratory operation in Reedley, California. Health officials have since confirmed that the seized substances posed no immediate threat to public safety, and Solomon’s defense team maintains he had no involvement with or knowledge of the laboratory operations.
