Historic 1947 Footage Shows Jewish Refugees Arriving in Palestine After World War II
May 31, 2026
HISTORICAL PROOF.
Long before the talking points, the propaganda and the endless attempts to erase Palestinian history, cameras were already documenting what happened.
This rare 1947 footage shows Jewish refugees arriving in Palestine after fleeing the horrors of war in Europe.
One banner carried by the refugees reads:
“The Germans destroyed our families and homes. Don’t you destroy our hopes.”
It is a powerful reminder of a historical reality that is often ignored: many of those arriving were refugees seeking safety after unimaginable suffering.
But it is also a reminder of another reality.
Palestine was not an empty land.
It was already home to hundreds of thousands of Palestinians living in cities, villages and communities across the country.
The footage remains important because it captures a moment before the war of 1948, before the mass displacement of Palestinians, and before decades of conflict transformed the region forever.
The camera does not lie.
History was recorded.
EXPOSE THE TRUTH. SHARE.
