A Christian Palestinian village came under attack.
Again.
Israeli settlers reportedly set fire to areas of Taybeh, the last entirely Christian Palestinian town in the occupied West Bank, using Molotov cocktails.
For residents, this was not an isolated incident.
It was another attack in a growing pattern of settler violence that has terrorised Palestinian communities across the West Bank while the world looks away.
Taybeh is known for its ancient churches, rich history and centuries-old Christian presence in Palestine.
Yet even this community has not been spared.
Homes, land and places of worship should never become targets.
And no family should have to fear waking up to flames outside their village.
As attacks by settlers continue to rise, many Palestinians are asking why there is still so little accountability for those responsible.
Because when violence is allowed to continue without consequences, it sends a dangerous message:
That some communities can be attacked with impunity.
The people of Taybeh deserve safety.
They deserve protection.
And they deserve the same outrage the world would show if this happened anywhere else.
