THEY WERE PICKING FLOWERS.
Five Palestinian children, aged just 8 to 12, were detained by Israeli forces after illegal settlers from Havat Maon complained about them gathering wild vegetables and flowers near the settlement.
Imagine being a child, walking through your own land, picking plants and flowers, only to be met by armed soldiers.
This is the reality Palestinian children grow up with: treated like criminals for simply existing, while illegal settlers continue to expand onto Palestinian land under military protection.
When children collecting flowers are considered a threat, something is deeply wrong.
