Several journalists were injured after Israeli forces reportedly opened fire with live ammunition in the Palestinian village of Deir Abu Mash’al in the occupied West Bank.
The journalists were covering demonstrations by Palestinian residents protesting a newly established settler outpost that has restricted access to agricultural land relied upon by local families.
When reporters are shot while covering peaceful protests, serious questions must be asked.
Who is being protected?
And why are those documenting events becoming targets themselves?
The cameras were there to record the story.
Instead, they became part of it.
