WORLD CUP CELEBRATIONS, YET GAZA BLEEDS.
As billions of people around the world tune in to watch the World Cup, Palestinians in Gaza are once again burying their dead.
In a heartbreaking footage from Khan Younis, a Palestinian man breaks down in grief after an Israeli airstrike targeted civilians near tents sheltering displaced families. Through tears and anguish, he cries out that while the world watches football, Gaza is bleeding in silence.
Meanwhile, Israeli continued attacks in the Strip.
According to reports, Israeli drones targeted two vehicles west of Gaza City near Al-Saraya Junction in the Al-Rimal neighborhood, firing four missiles and killing a woman while injuring a number of civilians.
Hours later, another series of Israeli airstrikes reportedly targeted civilians in Gaza City.
Witnesses say the first strike drew crowds of residents and medical teams rushing to help the wounded. Then additional strikes hit the same area, turning a rescue operation into another scene of devastation.
For Palestinians, there is no halftime. No celebration.
The world is watching the World Cup.
Gaza is watching missiles fall.
And Palestinians are asking whether anyone still sees their suffering.
