Jonathan Harounoff, Israel’s international spokesperson, rejected allegations that Israel deliberately targets children in Gaza, insisting that “Israel has never targeted children.”
Seriously?
Countless families are mourning children they have lost. Thousands of children have been killed or injured in Gaza since the war began.
How can anyone make such a sweeping statement while so many families continue to bury their sons and daughters?
The question the world continues to ask is not whether children are dying.
They are.
The question is who is responsible—and who will be held accountable?

Interview: Well, it’s clear that the UN Independent Inquiry Commission has said that you have done. That 30% of all of the casualties in that war have been children. So let’s separate it out. Was it deliberate? I’m sure you would say no, even if it was not deliberately. Isn’t that an appalling statistic? 30%. 20,000 children.
Jonathan: One thing that is absolutely and categorically clear is that Israel will never and has never targeted children. The only targets that Israel ever puts on the firing line are terrorists, whether they’re Hamas, Hezbollah.

Jonathan: I sincerely hope that the UK is never in a position where it has to face the kinds of threats that Israel…
