Two testimonies continue to fuel debate over one of the most controversial military policies in Israel’s history: the Hannibal Directive.
Released Israeli captive Doron Katz-Asher has recounted that her mother, Efrat Katz, was killed during IDF fire as they were being transported on October 7. Katz-Asher and her daughter were also wounded.
Separately, Israeli Army Colonel Golan Vach described ordering troops to open fire on pickup trucks he believed might be carrying abducted Israelis. Acknowledging the possibility that Israelis could be inside, he said:
“I’d rather stop the kidnapping than let them be taken.”
The corporate media spent months sanitizing the events of October 7, but the voices of survivors and the military’s own logs are forcing the truth into the light.
