Israeli Settlers Attack Journalists at West Bank Site Linked to American Saif Musallet

Even mourning a murdered child is a crime under occupation.
Just one year ago, 20-year-old Palestinian American Sayfollah Musallet was killed. Yesterday, on July 12, 2026, his father Kamel tried to do what any grieving parent should have the right to do: visit his son’s grave and walk through the olive grove where his life was stolen.
But in the occupied West Bank, even grief is met with toxic violence.
Illegal Israeli settlers, armed with stones, metal rods, and knives, launched a vicious attack on the family, international activists, and journalists. The footage is wild—you can see settlers trying to slash the tires of a CNN vehicle, smashing the windshield of a media car, blocking their exit, and literally chasing journalism teams out of Sinjil.
This is the reality of the unchecked, rogue thuggery that defines life in the West Bank. If armed settlers feel this comfortable terrorizing international media and grieving American citizens on camera, imagine what happens to Palestinians when the lenses are turned off.
We will not look away.

حتى الحداد على طفل قُتل يُعد جريمة في ظل الاحتلال.
قبل عام واحد فقط، قُتل الشاب الفلسطيني الأمريكي سيف الله مسلّت، البالغ من العمر 20 عاماً. وبالأمس، الموافق 12 تموز/يوليو 2026، حاول والده “كامل” القيام بما يحق لأي أب مفجوع فعله: زيارة قبر ابنه والسير في بستان الزيتون الذي سُلبت فيه حياته.
لكن في الضفة الغربية المحتلة، يُقابل حتى الحزن بعنف وحشي.
شنّ مستوطنون إسرائيليون -مخالفون للقانون ومسلحون بالحجارة والقضبان المعدنية والسكاكين- هجوماً عنيفاً على العائلة ونشطاء دوليين وصحفيين. تُظهر اللقطات المصورة مشاهد مروعة؛ إذ يظهر المستوطنون وهم يحاولون تمزيق إطارات سيارة تابعة لشبكة سي إن إن، وتحطيم الزجاج الأمامي لسيارة إعلامية، وسد طريق الخروج، ومطاردة الفرق الصحفية فعلياً لإخراجهم من بلدة سنجل.
هذا هو واقع البلطجة المنفلتة والخارجة عن السيطرة التي تطبع الحياة في الضفة الغربية. فإذا كان المستوطنون المسلحون يشعرون بهذه الجرأة في ترويع وسائل الإعلام الدولية ومواطنين أمريكيين مفجوعين أمام الكاميرات، فتخيلوا ما يحدث للفلسطينيين عندما تغيب العدسات.
