Record Democrats Vote to End US Aid to Israel as Congress Rejects Funding Cut
July 17, 2026
SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL IS CRUMBLING: RECORD NUMBER OF DEMOCRATS VOTE TO END U.S. AID TO ISRAEL.
A historic shift just went down on the House floor, and the establishment is in absolute damage control. For the first time in history, nearly half of all House Democrats—103 in total—voted to completely cut off the $3.3 billion in annual military aid to Israel.
The amendment, introduced by Republican Thomas Massie, was defeated 314 to 104 because the rest of the Democrats joined forces with the GOP to protect the status quo. But look at the names who broke ranks: former Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Minority Whip Katherine Clark both voted YES to strip the funding.
Unconditional, bipartisan support for Israel’s military is officially over. Let’s make sure the 314 politicians who voted to keep sending billions in taxpayer money to fund war crimes hear us loud and clear.
Their grip on American politics is officially slipping.

We’ve got breaking news here at the U.S. Capitol. A record number of members of Congress just voted to cut military aid to Israel. But thanks to Republicans and some Democrats, the amendment failed to pass. Republican Representative Thomas Massie introduced the amendment to the annual bill that funds the State Department and other agencies. The amendment would have cut the $3.3 billion that the U.S. sends to Israel every year in military aid. This historic vote represents what’s already been written on the wall that the current status quo of unconditional U.S. aid to Israel all the while commits genocide in Palestine and takes more land and behaves similarly in Lebanon, and continues its illegal war in Iran and kills and kidnaps Americans with no abandon, is no longer sustainable in American politics. You should also remember that this vote comes just as Israel, Republicans and some Democrats tried to merge the US and Israeli militaries. The reason even Benjamin Netanyahu says he’s fine to cut USA to Israel because he understands the political reality and how unpopular it is. I’m urging the U.S. and Israeli militaries. Israel won’t have to worry about it, because then they’ll have even greater access to weapons, intelligence, data, and much more directly the US. Still, the vote is unprecedented. Israel’s hold on American politics is crumbling, and any politician still hanging on to the way things were may have another thing coming. Here are all the Republicans and Democrats who voted against Thomas Massey’s amendment, and to keep the aid to Israel flowing.
