I’m Angry’: British Surgeon Returns From Gaza Demanding Global Action to End Civilian Suffering
August 5, 2026
“I’M ANGRY.”
British transplant surgeon Dr. Nizam Mamode returned from volunteering in Gaza’s destroyed hospitals and shared his frustration on live television.
Having treated severe casualties and witnessed the collapse of healthcare infrastructure firsthand, Dr. Mamode expressed anger that the international community allows this crisis to drag into its third year.
Operating under extreme supply shortages and treating non-stop severe injuries in destroyed medical facilities.
Returning home to see world leaders and international bodies failing to enforce a lasting cease-fire or stop the destruction.
Healthcare workers shouldn’t have to return home and plead with the world to care about human life.
