For over two years, the official narrative claimed Israeli troops were “not present near the vehicle”. Now, under overwhelming global pressure, independent visual evidence, and international outrage, the IDF announced a military police criminal probe—a move human rights organizations reject as internal damage control.
The IDF repeatedly denied responsibility while independent investigations proved tanks were meters away, firing hundreds of rounds into a civilian vehicle.
