New Poll: Democrats Want 2028 Candidate to Back Israel Arms Embargo and Sanctions
August 30, 2026New YouGov polling released by the IMEU Policy Project (@imeupolicy ) reveals that Democratic primary voters across key early-voting states overwhelmingly demand a total arms embargo and sanctions against Israel heading into the 2028 presidential race.
The survey shows a massive shift among base voters, making it clear that any 2028 candidate attempting to maintain traditional military funding will face total rejection from the electorate.
75% of voters in Michigan, New Hampshire, and New Mexico—plus 74% in Nevada, 66% in Virginia, and 65% in South Carolina—demand a candidate who will cut off weapons shipments.
80% of Michigan Democratic primary voters acknowledge Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians, alongside 78% in New Hampshire and Nevada.
Over 70% in New Hampshire and New Mexico support placing direct U.S. sanctions on Israel.
Politicians can no longer ignore their own base while funding war crimes overseas.
