British PM Stands Firm After Israel Shuts UK Consulate: “We Will Always Stand With the Underdog”
September 11, 2026
Israel closes the British consulate. Bars British MPs from entering. And the new UK Prime Minister’s response is one line: “We will always stand with the underdog.”
No apology. No walking it back. Andy Burnham stood in Parliament and said it again, louder: Britain has to stand for something. Britain has to stand against injustice against people being bullied out of their homes, intimidated, pushed out.
But… can we actually trust him?
