ITALY TAKES TO THE STREETS FOR PALESTINE
Pro-Palestine demonstrations swept across Italy, with protests reported in more than 75 cities as workers and unions joined a nationwide general strike, disrupting transport, education, logistics and other sectors.
Port workers also protested the handling of arms shipments to Israel. Demonstrators called for recognition of Palestine, an end to arms sales, sanctions against the Netanyahu government and an immediate end to the devastation in Gaza.
From Milan to Naples, Florence and Turin, protesters delivered a clear message: they want Italy to take stronger action for Palestine.
