Defiant Macklemore Responds After Tour Removal: “We’re Not Going Anywhere”
September 16, 2026
Thank you, Macklemore.
You had every reason to stay quiet. A stadium tour. A friendship with Ed Sheeran. Millions of fans watching. You could have played it safe like almost everyone in your position does. Instead you stood on that stage and said the two words a billionaire decided were worth blacklisting you over.
They thought pulling you from the tour would be a punishment. It wasn’t. It was a spotlight. Every headline about your removal did more for Palestine than a hundred quiet performances ever could.
You said it yourself — you’re not the victim here. That’s exactly why this matters. You used your safety, your platform, your career, for people who have none of those things.
This is what real solidarity looks like: not a hashtag, not a quiet donation, but standing in front of thousands of people and refusing to shrink when the cost became real.
We see you. We stand with you. And we’re not going anywhere either.
