Go Sandwiches — the only Palestinian restaurant in Peterborough, run by a man from Gaza who still has family back home — was reportedly targeted by a pro-Israel zionist who shouted abuse at the owner, intimidated customers, and damaged the shop. Police have allegedly not even followed up.
A small business trying to share Palestinian food and culture, send proceeds home to family in Gaza, and all it took was one person deciding that was a target worth attacking.
This is what it looks like when hate feels entitled to walk right through someone’s front door and when the response from the people meant to protect that door is silence.
