Netanyahu Pushes Plan to Strip Citizenship From Israelis Accused of Exposing IDF Abuses
September 18, 2026
NETANYAHU JUST DECLARED WAR ON HIS OWN CITIZENS FOR TELLING THE TRUTH.
Two Oscar-winning Israeli filmmakers release NAZA — a documentary built on testimony from Israeli soldiers and intelligence officers describing a system designed to kill as many people as possible in Gaza. It gets a 25-minute standing ovation in Venice.
Netanyahu’s response isn’t to answer the testimony. It’s to announce two new bills: strip citizenship from any Israeli who “defames” the IDF abroad, and multiply defamation damages twentyfold against them. His words: “Their place is not with us.” He named the filmmakers directly. He named the opposition leader who once said “a sane country does not kill children as a hobby.” Even Israel’s own president says this idea “has no chance” — and internal government memos reportedly admit the backlash is only proving the film’s point.
When telling the truth about your own military becomes a crime punishable by losing your nationality, that’s not protecting soldiers. That’s protecting a narrative from the people who lived inside it.
You can’t legislate away a testimony once it’s already been heard.
