“The Powerful Fear Us”: Sánchez and Mamdani Unite Around Working-Class Economic Policies
September 25, 2026
“THE POWERFUL FEAR US.”
That’s what Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said this week — after meeting with New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, uniting over a shared commitment to serving working people instead of corporate billionaires.
Per CBS New York reporting: Mamdani and Sanchez sat down on Wednesday to align on progressive governance, emphasizing that real political power belongs to ordinary citizens, not the ultra-wealthy. “That is why the powerful fear us, because day after day, we show that a different path is possible, and it works,” Sanchez noted. “It delivers to our ordinary people.”
When leaders actually prioritize housing, workers, and public goods over corporate interests, the establishment takes notice.
Thank you!!
