Orthodox Haredi Jews in Israel Declare: “We Are Anti-Zionist and Want a Palestinian State”
October 9, 2026
“We are anti-Zionist Jews, and we want a Palestinian state.”
These are religious Jews, living in Israel, in traditional dress, rejecting the state’s political project and defending Palestinian rights in the name of their faith. For them, being Jewish and being Zionist are not the same thing, and they say so on camera.

Hello, brother. How are you? Shalom. Anyone want to shake my hand? This is fascinating, guys. So all the kids here. They’re lining up at the Palestinian flag. We’re an ultra orthodox hareidi community. These are Jews, but they’re pro-Palestine. So can you ask them why all these Jews are surrounding the Palestinian flag? It doesn’t make sense to me.
He’s saying we are anti-Zionist Jews and we want there to be a Palestinian state here. They are saying that this is proof that Palestine flag with a kippah with a Jew hat on is not a contradiction.
