New “Musk” Documentary Delivers Scathing Look at Elon Musk and Claims the Public Was Misled
October 12, 2026
Documentary creator Christie Boschman has watched the new “Musk” documentary, and her verdict is blunt.
“WE’VE ALL BEEN VERY MUCH LIED TO”
Her review: scathing, brutal, and accurate.
The film comes from Oscar-winning director Alex Gibney, the filmmaker behind Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room and Going Clear. It runs nearly four hours and took years to make. Elon Musk didn’t take part.
Instead you get the people who knew him. His ex-wife Justine Musk. Ashley St. Clair, the mother of one of his children, who told reporters she turned down a $40 million NDA offer. A story that started as a portrait of a tech genius and turned into a hard look at one of the most powerful and controversial men on earth.
Musk has already called it a “hit piece.” Gibney’s reply was one word: “douché.”
The richest man in the world doesn’t want you to see this one. So go see it.
Musk is in select theaters now and opens nationwide October 16. Details in @thatdocumentarygirl’s bio, plus @muskdoc and @bleeckerstfilms

English Script:
Christie Boschman: Like there is so much information. They did a huge deep dive on Elon Musk. They had to cut the documentary down from six hours. That much tea is on Elon Musk. It covers everything about Elon Musk, from every marriage, every business venture. His upbringing, his dealings in government, and every controversy you can think of. I shouldn’t be surprised by the things that I heard in this documentary, but I couldn’t help but be like, what in the world having it all laid out like that. Let’s talk commentary is just really well made and no crumbs were left behind. The biggest takeaway I had walking away from this documentary is that we’ve all been very much lied to. I am very concerned, and I think that a lot of you guys are going to be as well. I truly haven’t seen anything like this, and seen this in theaters is like a full blown experience. You guys have to go see Musk in theaters near you and let me know what you think about this in the comments.
