Andrew Feinstein: “Israeli Apartheid Is Far More Brutal Than South Africa’s”

Not an outsider’s opinion. Andrew Feinstein was an ANC MP under Nelson Mandela. He is Jewish. His mother survived the Holocaust in occupied Vienna, and lost dozens of family members in Auschwitz. He has lectured on genocide prevention.
And he says South African apartheid, brutal as it was, doesn’t compare. Why? Because apartheid South Africa still needed Black labor to survive — there was an economic incentive to keep people alive, even while oppressing them. Israel doesn’t need Palestinians. So there’s no floor to the violence. No economic brake on how far it goes.
Mandela and Desmond Tutu — the two men who knew apartheid better than almost anyone alive — spent their final years saying exactly this.
When the people who survived history’s worst racial regimes tell you this is worse, that’s not rhetoric. That’s testimony.

Finally, the United Nations has voted to start using a map which actually represents how big countries in the world are. Because I don’t know if you know this, but the map that we’ve all been raised on and using for over 400 years is wildly inaccurate. Only one country in the whole world voted to keep the old inaccurate map, and to reject the modern new equal Earth projection map, which actually depicts countries size accurately relative to each other. And I wonder if you can guess what country in the whole world voted for the inaccurate, non factual take on how the world is laid out? Maybe a country that thinks that Greenland is about the same size as Africa and therefore for that reason maybe wants to take it for themselves, because in our world some might call it the real one. Greenland is 14 times smaller than Africa, but not on this old map. In fact, on this old map, Europe is made to look a lot bigger than it really is relative to Africa. Greenland looks colossal. Whereas this is actually how the world is meaningfully laid out than now voted for and accepted equal Earth projection. And yes, inevitably, the one country that voted against this motion was the United States of America. If you got it right in the comments before I told you the answer, well well done. No prizes though. It was literally too obvious. I can’t give you a prize for such an easy answer.
