His response wasn’t to answer the number. It was to call the messenger “ignorant,” complain to the staff, and walk out.
One third of the world’s population currently lives under U.S. sanctions. That’s not abstract policy. That’s hospitals without supplies, children without medicine, families without electricity, decided in offices, felt in graveyards.
You can throw a mock toast in someone’s face. You can’t toast away 600,000 deaths a year.
