AUSTRALIAN SENATOR DEMANDS EXPULSION OF ISRAELI AMBASSADOR
August 13, 2024The Australian Senate VOTED DOWN a bill to impose sanctions on Israel and EXPEL the Israeli ambassador!
On the Senate floor Greens foreign affairs spokesman Senator Jordon Steele-John demanded the Australian government cancel defence contracts with Israel, to “expel” Israel’s ambassador from Australia and for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza.
“The community expects the Australian government to do what is in its control, to say ‘enough is enough,’” Mr Steele-John said.
“The motion today would draw a clear line in the sand.”
“The individuals who are responsible for perpetrating genocide are to face consequences for their actions, today the Greens and the community ask senators to vote Yes to recognise the state of Israel’s actions for what they are -war crimes and crimes against humanity.”

Jordon Steele-John: The genocide has been going on for over 300 days. 300 days of war crimes. Over 40,000 Palestinian people killed in that time. Community expects the Australian government to do what is in its control. To say enough is enough. The motion today will draw a clear line in the sand. The individuals who are responsible for perpetrating genocide are to face consequences for their actions. Today, the Greens and the community ask senators to vote yes, to recognize the State of Israel’s actions as what they are. War crimes and crimes against humanity, and to demand their perpetrators be held accountable. The Australian Government must cancel their contracts with weapons and arms manufacturers such as Elbit System. We must expel the State of Israel’s ambassador to Australia. We must sanction Prime Minister Netanyahu, his security cabinet, and we must keep calling for peace until we have a permanent ceasefire.
