What Drives Me
Mission & Vision
My mission is to awaken audiences from their indifference and to believe in their personal power to affect change in their lives and to making this world a better place. I seek to raise awareness through insightful, serious and factual content, using film, video, speeches and other initiatives, that influence and enlist others to take actionable steps towards positive progress in our world.
My belief in justice and truth is what drives me. I use my strengths as a journalist, filmmaker, activist and entrepreneur to shine a light on those otherwise forgotten and issues that deserve to be raised. Currently my focus is on helping the Lebanese people overcome the catastrophic socio-economic and political crisis they are facing.
My purpose is to open eyes, enlighten minds and liberate the souls of people not by simply seeing what is, but by believing in what could be. I do not accept the status quo if it doesn’t serve humanity, and I am dedicated to changing it with a blazing vision for a Free and Fair future for all.

ENOUGH! Lebanon’s Darkest Hour
Filmmaker and journalist Daizy Gedeon leads us on a powerful and personal journey behind the mask of lies and deception and into the heart of Lebanon, deep into the historic and psychological causes behind the erosion and destruction of the country. Once a battleground and breeding ground for terrorists and violent militias, and still a focal point of controversy in the tumultuous Middle East.
The film features incisive interviews with politicians and institutional leaders, civil activists, regional experts, whistle-blowers, and Lebanese people both in Lebanon and around the world. ENOUGH! identifies both the nature of the current crisis and explains how the only way out is for Lebanese citizens to harness their own democratic right and power to vote for politicians that represent and believe in the Lebanon they deeply desire.
An updated version of this film examining the results of the May 2022 elections is currently in production.

Misunderstood and Misrepresented
Lebanon…Imprisoned Splendour
Daizy wanted people to love Lebanon as much as she did, so she decided to make a film…
The Imprisoned Splendour that is Lebanon, manifests itself on many different levels. Its unique religious and cultural dichotomies, its geographical and historical position in global events and its future role in a volatile and turbulent Middle East.
This film showcases Lebanon’s natural beauty and location at the heart of the Middle East, and the spirit of hospitality and generosity of its people, which creates an oasis that is the Lebanese people’s international legacy. It also examines the strong family unit, an endemic feature of Lebanese society, which has proved to be a binding and empowering force in a nation devastated by war. The film’s pervading themes are emphasised through the words of the great Lebanese poet, writer and philosopher – Kahlil Gibran – one of Lebanon’s greatest National Treasures.
Through interviews with key figures, Gedeon explores issues that are deep-seated within an historical, cultural and religious context and which form the basis of fundamental differences that underlie Lebanon today. We will seek to discover whether the emotional scars of the war can ever be healed, and at what cost. By unlocking these issues, we will seek to release the “Imprisoned Splendour” that is a stepping stone to harmony within… Lebanon.
