Israeli settlers in westbank reveal expansion plans
November 13, 2023A visit by @haaretz’s @bradley.burston with Daniella Weiss, a settlement leader to the illegal settlements that continue to grow despite their illegality and the signing of the Abraham accords being contingent upon settlements not expanding.
Her vision of Israel’s future borders includes parts of Syria, Iraq, and Lebanon and even Iran.
This is not an extreme perspective in modern day Israel. Many Israeli ministers and elected officials have expressed similar colonial fantasies and are enacting policies of ethnic-cleansing, apartheid, annexation and collective punishment to make that fantasy a reality. In Gaza and beyond.
This is an excerpt from a longer video.

Israeli settlers in westbank reveal expansion plans
Bradley Burston: How far will the construction stretch? The yard of the Palestinian house? How do you decide?
Daniella Weiss: Oh ho, sir! We will set a meeting and I will explain exactly how. Someone just asked me that the other day and I told him – it depends on how brave you are. If you’re brave enough to go build on the hill, then go ahead and build.
Bradley Burston: What happens, how do you react, when you hear the words “two-state solution”?
Daniella Weiss: First of all, I know it will not happen if we analyze it politically and practically. We see here hundreds of thousands of Jews. We see even in the eastern neighborhoods of Jerusalem, 300,000 Jews in the areas that were liberated in the Six-Day War. So where will there be a state I want to have for the Jewish nation, the promised land, from the Bible. From the Euphrates to the Nile, And I’m sure it will be.
Bradley Burston: What about southern Lebanon?
Daniella Weiss: If it’s, it is part of it. Even parts of Syria, part of Iraq, part of Iran. It’s huge!
Bradley Burston: You think you have any way of convincing people that that would be a good idea?
Daniella Weiss: I convinced many, many people believe in it. I don’t see anything like anything extreme in my approach. It’s a basic Jewish approach.
Bradley Burston: I wish I shared your feeling about the future…I am worried. I can tell you that I am worried…
Daniella Weiss: Don’t…don’t be worried.
Bradley Burston: This is the place which will result in the end of Israel.
Daniella Weiss: Oh no, this is the future of Israel.
Bradley Burston: On my way back home, I couldn’t help but wonder was it the West Bank I was leaving? Or was it the Israel of the future: A state of permanent occupation, eternal apartheid for the Palestinians, a privileged, rabbinical dominated suburbia for the Jews.
