The British set the precedent that zionist Israel modelled and it expanded upon. It is quite telling as to the reasons why Britain has been a strong advocate of Israel’s flagrant abuse of international humanitarian law continuing to refer to historic precedent set by other colonialist empires including Britain and the USA and their treatment of indigenous peoples under their rule.
