U.S. SENDING 2000 POUND BOMBS TO POUND GAZA

While millions of Americans are homeless with barely enough to eat, millions more who can’t afford to get the healthcare they need or send their kids to college, the US Government is pouring billions of taxpayer dollars to fund Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people, including sending 2000 pound bunker-buster bombs to drop on Gaza and murder more civilians.
Cenk Uygur, the founder of American news organisation The Young Turks, and co-host Ana Kasparian rip into the American government and attack the use of ”their tax dollars” to fund militant Israel while people are desperate in the US.
The influx of weaponry, consisting of approximately 15,000 bombs and 57,000 artillery shells, has been carried on C-17 military cargo planes shortly after the start of the conflict in the Gaza Strip and has continued in recent days.
The list of munitions sent by the US to Israel comprises of more than 5,400 MK84 bombs, 5,000 unguided MK82 bombs, about 1,000 GBU-39 small-diameter bombs, and around 3,000 joint direct attack munitions (JDAM) that convert unguided bombs into precision-guided munitions.

Ana Kasparian: Like we’re giving these incredibly incompetent people who couldn’t even do their jobs to protect their own people. We’re giving them 2,000 pound bombs. That’s what we’re doing. We are rewarding their incompetence by giving them 2,000 pound bombs to drop on residential buildings, on hospitals, on refugee camps, on mosques, on churches. It’s insane. It’s absolutely insane.
Cenk Uygur: To give you context on the 2,000 pound bombs. Even with all of the civilians that America killed in Iraq and the incredibly having fighting, if you might remember, in some of those cities, we never dropped a bomb that was larger than 500 pounds.
Ana Kasparian: That’s right.
Cenk Uygur: And Israel is dropping bombs that are four times that size when before they even went to go to fight. They’re just and they’ve no…they show no evidence that they’ve even gotten any Hamas fighters, they’re in the tunnels. Okay. So they’re killing civilians at a grotesque rate. New York Times did a great article about how this is killing civilians at a greater rate than any conflict in our lifetime. So when you kill civilians on purpose, that’s called terrorism. I know you can’t say it about Israel. You could only say it about poor people who are occupied and have no power at all.
Ana Kasparian: Well, as long as Israel is A, our ally and B just keeps repeating over and over again, we’re not targeting civilians. All they have to say we’re not, we’re not targeting civilians.
