English Script:
Ahmad Taha: Yesterday we were watching scenes of people going to grind animal feed as an alternative to flour so that they could feed their children. This is happening now in the Gaza Strip.
Motaz Azaiza: It happens, of course, especially in the northern Gaza Strip. The occupation prevents the entry of any food aid into the northern Gaza Strip and Gaza City as a form of forcing the people who are still steadfast there to leave and be displaced from their areas. They even allowed people leaving Gaza to leave in their cars. The important thing is that they leave. They’re pushing them to leave. These people represent the strongest symbols of steadfastness in Palestinian history, those who are steadfast until today. I mean, they are able to go to the south of the Gaza Strip, food is not very available, but they can still find some. However, in the north there is nothing at all, even the area they are in is limited and they cannot move. People now know where Israeli snipers are and avoid Israeli tanks so they can live for one day.
Ahmad Taha: Thousands are now in the north.
Motaz Azaiza: Thousands, there are thousands and there is no food aid entering there, only on the day of the humanitarian pause and it stopped afterwards.
Ahmad Taha: It is a strange steadfastness, that they remain in that spot, especially in the north, without food or water, just because they want to stay, they do not want a new Nakba.
Motaz Azaiza: The dignity of the Palestinians is in their land, and even if our dignity will cause us death, we are ready to die. But we try…there is a proverb that says or a verse of poetry: We love life whenever we can. Palestinians love life whenever they can.
