HOW DID IRAN BOMB THE MOST DEFENDED SPOT ON EARTH?
April 20, 2024Scott Ritter, former United States Marine Corps intelligence officer, analyses Iran’s recent attack against Israel, framing it as a MASSIVE success.
“The point I’m trying to make is Israel can’t be taken by surprise. This surveillance tech is linked to the most sophisticated anti-ballistic missile defences in the world… Nevatim is the MOST HEAVILY SECURED SPOT ON THE PLANET.”
Despite this, Ritter highlighted Iran’s accuracy in striking Israel’s base.
“Iran launched seven missiles against that base. Five of them hit their target.”
False reports have indicated that Israel and the US had repelled 99% of Israel’s. More accurate analyses now show that the number is closer to 84%. Ritter then points out that the warheads that Iran used WERE NOT their most advanced tech! The missiles used in this attack are typically used to dazzle radars. Despite this, Iran STRUCK Israel in several places.
Israel and the US have realised the advancement of the Iranian military. Iran has gained UNPRECEDENTED intelligence about Israel’s air defence system.
This was a win for Iran. The same CANNOT be said for Israel.

Scott Ritter: Well, let’s let’s start with Nevatim Airbase, home of Israel’s F-35 eye. But it’s home to more than that. It’s home to America’s is ANTPY-2 X-band radar. This is the radar designed to detect Iranian missile launches from Iran. It’s tied in to our satellite network that monitors Iran continuously, any launch, any activity. The point I’m trying to make is, Israel can’t be taken by surprise. This surveillance technology is linked to the most sophisticated anti ballistic missile defenses in the world. The Arrow 2. The Arrow 3. David’s Sling. The improved Patriot. The FAD missile system, which is an American only missile system. But my point is, Nevatim is the most heavily secured spot on the planet, the most heavily secured spot on the planet when it comes to anti-ballistic missile defense.
There’s no place on earth more heavily defended than Nevatim. Iran launch seven missiles against that base. Five of them hit their target. First of all, I understand that Iran did not use its latest technology. The missiles that were shown there, this is designed to dazzle a radar meaning that the radar’s tracking this system in. The first thing it happens is the warhead separates from the missile body, that drives the radar crazy. Now, because it’s tracking two things instead of one, one is now spinning out of control larger. They’re trying to track it. The other one smaller is moving in. So they have to pick which targets the priority. They pick the smaller target. So now they come in, they start calibrating, calibrating, calibrating, and they start launching their missiles to take it out. So that warhead shoots up a whole bunch of bomblets that simulate the warhead. The radar goes crazy now. Instead of one, there’s like 20 and it’s gone: What the hell do we hit now? And then to confuse it even more, that that warhead wait, wait, wait and then ignite its own motor and shoots through with the last second. If you slow that down, you’ll see that the warhead came in, it tucked up, went in, maneuvered in. They hit the target. It can’t be shut down. These are good warheads that the Iranians have. They’re better than our ability to shoot them down. But they’re not the best that Iran has.
