WESTERN MEDIA FAILED TO APOLOGISE & RETRACT THE LIEST PEDALED ABOUT OCT 7
April 27, 2024Bassem Youssef, an Egyptian-American political comedian, has attacked Western media for their failure to correct and retract the false reports that they pushed and peddeled about what happened on October 7 and have since been debunked over and over again.
“For a month, the Western media went with the Israeli story: decapitated babies, gang rape, all of this… All of that was debunked. And the Western media, not a single time, they said we’re sorry, we messed up, we led the whole world to believe these lies in order to justify the daily killing of Palestinians,” Youssef explains in his interview on CNN with Chrsitiane Amanpour.
Initially, Western media simply followed Israeli reports. But later, the evidence mounted about the LIES TOLD by ISRAEL to continue an ALL-OUT INVASION OF GAZA!
Yet Western media DID NOT RETRACT!! THEY KEPT PUSHING THE FALSE NARRATIVE TO KEEP PEOPLE ENRAGED WHICH SOMEHOW MADE PEOPLE FEEL THAT ISRAEL WAS JUSTIFIED IN ITS MURDEROUS RAMPAGE AND ONSLAUGHT AGAINST THE INNOCENT CIVILIANS.
WESTERN MEDIA FAILED IN THEIR FUNDAMENTAL DUTY OF VERIFYING THE FACTS FIRST. AND SECOND, RETRACTING OR OPENLY CORRECTING THE REPORTS AFTER LEARNING THE TRUTH.
THEREFORE, THEY ARE COMPLICT IN PERPETUATING THE GENOCIDE OF PALESTINIANS!

Bassem Youssef: And look at the western media, as a viewer, and see from the eye of a viewer the horrendous work that the Western media has done. Because for months the Western media went with the Israeli story decapitated babies, gang rape, all of this. And then we know about the Hannibal Directive. We know how the Israeli troops killed a lot of their own citizens. I’m not saying that Hamas didn’t do anything, of course. All of that decapitated baby stories were debunked, the story that Anthony Blinken went in and talk about the Hamas fighters who killed, raped and cut limbs and then had breakfast, all of that was debunked. And then the Western media, not a single time. They said, we’re sorry, we messed up. We led you. We led the whole world to believe these lies in order to justify the daily killing of Palestinians, and not a single person came out and retracted their lies and not even said like, we should even look at what we said and we apologize for it. This is the problem, and we’re talking about sexual violence against what’s happened, but nobody’s talking about sexual assaults on Palestinian women every single day. I remember 2016 where the whole media was up in arms about Russia interferes in elections, nobody is talking about how AIPAC is basically bragging about paying all of these politicians to win their elections. Nobody is talking about that. And I wonder, as someone who left the Middle East and came to the West with the promise of free expression, and I come here and I say all of these red lines about not talking about Israel, because if we talk about it, we’re going to be suddenly called anti-Semitic.
Christiane Amanpour: Do you not think the tone is changing given the mounting death toll?
Bassem Youssef: Slightly, but it is performative. Performative rage, like the world leaders are so enraged about Israel killing the seven aid workers. I find that there’s more rage about killing seven foreign workers more than killing 30,000 Palestinians. Remember when 3,000 Palestinians was too much? You know what happened? You know tomorrow if 300,000 Palestinians killed, nobody will care. Numbers don’t mean anything.
Christiane Amanpour: Why do you think that is?
Bassem Youssef: Because they don’t look at Palestinians as equal human beings. Because they were deemed animals, terrorists, Hamas sympathizers.
