ISRAEL LACKS PREPAREDNESS TO FIGHT HEZBOLLAH
June 17, 2024The head of the Israeli Labor Party, Yair Golan, warned against a full-scale war with Hezbollah amid Israel’s lack of preparedness.
In a radio interview, Golan said, “Israel today and after eight months of fighting, after exhausting the reserve and regular forces, is not ready to kickstart another long war in the north. This needs to be said, painfully, but this is the current situation.”
“What was the point of assassinating another senior Hez-bo-llah official when what is needed is the hostage exchange deal in the South? Because a ceasefire deal in the South would lead to a ceasefire in the North,” he added.
Slamming the occupation government, Golan described it as a “destructive, disastrous government that needs to be changed.”
