Press TV Anchor: Well, the dust may have settled for now, but the massacre at a humanitarian zone called Al Mawasi cannot be swept under the rug with the view, “another day, another massacre” in the Gaza Strip. The Israel regime may be the one firing the shots or dropping the bombs in this case, but a look at the fact is revolving around this massacre, and the bomb reveals the ugly truths behind this massacre. First, to look at the camp itself. The Al Mawasi camp, as you see on this map here, is located in the center to the left here, and it’s situated to the west of Khan Yunis. It’s a ten-mile strip of land along the Mediterranean coast. First designated early December as a humanitarian zone by the IOF. By late August 2024, between 30 to 34,000 people per square kilometer were living there. This is an area with no water, electricity or buildings for shelter. Now the first mention of the zone was back in October 18th, with the IOF saying that: it has ordered Gaza residents to move to the humanitarian zone in the area of Al Mawasi, to which humanitarian aid will be directed if necessary. It then went on with another post, October 21, that said, if your life and the lives of those you love are important to you, arrive at the humanitarian area and in Al Mawasi according to our instructions. Well naturally, hundreds of thousands of people fled to that area, albeit in intervals reaching roughly around 1.8 million Palestinians, which surpasses the limit crammed into an area that can hold so many people. But why would Israel want to forcibly transfer so many Palestinians into one area? Well, the answer is very evident: to massacre Palestinians. Now here’s why: The Israeli military began its ground operation in Rafah, relatively close to Khan Yunis, on May the 6th. Once you take a look at where Rafah is situated, well, you could then see the massacres to begin unfold at the camp. These dates and the number killed here are the number of times that it has been targeted, there’s a pattern here. Safe zones, but then pushing Palestinians to relocate there, and then of course, the killing that you see in total, five Israeli massacres, a total of 217 Palestine is to have been killed just in this so-called humanitarian zone that the IOF has announced.
