Anti-Zionist Rabbi Says Zionism Betrays Judaism at Protest Against Stolen Land Sales

Activists, accompanied by political commentator and comedian Walter Masterson, descended on a local synagogue hosting an “Israeli Real Estate Exhibition.” The event, which openly marketed land and properties located in illegal West Bank settlements, was met with fierce resistance from an unexpected alliance of activists and Orthodox Anti-Zionist Jews.
Among the loudest voices was Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss of Neturi Karta, who alongside a 73-year-old Jewish activist, took the microphone to completely disown the actions of the state of Israel in the name of their faith.
The protest targeted a highly controversial real estate event held inside a synagogue, where properties built on occupied Palestinian territory—violating international law—were being sold exclusively to buyers in the U.S.
Anti-Zionist Jewish elders and activists packed the venue, shouting down the organizers. They made it clear that using a house of worship to traffic stolen land is a desecration of Jewish values, declaring: “This is not our Judaism… We are humanitarian Jews!”
