While the world spoke of “peace” and “de-escalation,” Lebanon was still being bombed.
According to Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, Israel carried out around 3,500 airstrikes during the agreed ceasefire period.
If 3,500 airstrikes happened during a ceasefire, what exactly was being enforced?
International law means nothing if violations are ignored. A ceasefire means nothing if bombs continue to fall. And accountability means nothing when some states are allowed to act without consequences.
Lebanon was promised peace.
Instead, it got thousands of airstrikes.
