Let’s look at the receipts. Richard Sharp, a Goldman Sachs multi-millionaire, secretly hooks up UK PM Boris Johnson with an £800k personal loan. Weeks later? Boom. He’s appointed Chairman of the BBC.

How does a Goldman Sachs banker take control of the BBC? Simple. You secretly bail out the Prime minister with an 800 grand loan. Richard Sharpe, worth over 500 million pounds, spent 23 years at Goldman Sachs, managing Rishi Sunak, among others, before donating over 400,000 pounds to the Conservative Party and becoming an informal adviser to both Boris Johnson and Sunak once in office. But his relationship with government went beyond just advice. In late 2020, Johnson needed personal access to 800,000 pounds. Sharpe arranged it, connecting Johnson with a multi-millionaire Canadian who became his loan guarantor and arranging a meeting with Britain’s most senior civil servant to facilitate the deal. Weeks later, Johnson appointed Sharpe chairman of the BBC. Sharpe disclosed none of this during his appointment process or to Parliament. When it emerged he resigned and as journalist patient Wheatcroft put it, Sharp did Johnson a favor just when he wanted the Prime Minister to give him the top job at the BBC. But what he did with that position is more important than how he got it. The BBC is described in Sharp’s own reporting as pro-Israel. He shares a charity trustee board with Israeli Medal of Honor recipient Trevor Chinn, who has donated to 13 labor cabinet members and secretly lobbied the Foreign Office on arms sales to Israel. The BBC board shot presided over included Robbie Gibb, a former conservative spin doctor who led the consortium that bought The Jewish Chronicle. Over 400 media figures, including more than 100 BBC staff members, later signed an open letter accusing Gibb of intimidating journalists, distorting editorial decisions to push a pro-Israel line and being directly responsible for the BBC blocking a Gaza documentary showing Palestinian doctors working under Israeli bombardment on the grounds that airing it would damage the BBC’s reputation for impartiality. Six months later, Sharpe has gone. Gib remained, and the editorial culture he presided over continued. Sharpe also used his personal charity to donate 35,000 pounds to Quilliam, which published discredited pseudoscience falsely targeting Muslim communities as grooming gang perpetrators. Quilliam also pays Tommy Robinson thousands of pounds to fake leave the English Defense League. Why? Because the ultra rich routinely fund far right movements and divisive content, not because they genuinely believe it, but because a population consuming itself with racial and religious conflict doesn’t notice 50 families holding more wealth than half the country. Sharp’s twin sister is Dame Victoria Sharpe, the judge who controversially replaced the independent free speech expert in the Palestine Action Judicial Review, with no explanation given. She previously represented Glenn Maxwell’s father, Robert, who was buried in Jerusalem at a state funeral because he was a documented Israeli intelligence asset. So, to summarize, Richard Sharpe shares a charity board with the biggest pro-Israel donor in British politics. He makes secret deals with politicians.
