Israeli Journalists and Soldiers Accused of Rewriting History at Lebanon’s Beaufort Castle
July 15, 2026
You can occupy the land, but you can’t rewrite the history.
For the first time in decades, Israeli journalists have entered southern Lebanon, accompanying the occupying army to Beaufort Castle and the surrounding area.
Beaufort Castle (Qala’at al-Shaqif) isn’t just a pile of stone. It is a legendary symbol of Lebanese history, survival, and resistance. Yet, we are watching the ultimate “Propaganda Machine” in real-time as Israeli soldiers and embedded “journalists” try to colonize the narrative of this ancient landmark.
They are there as embedded cheerleaders. Staging photo-ops on stolen Lebanese land, walking through ruined villages, and treating an illegal military invasion like some heroic tourist excursion.
Raising an occupying flag over a UNESCO-protected, 1,000-year-old Lebanese landmark like Beaufort Castle isn’t a “victory”, it’s a desperate attempt at psychological warfare. They want to rewrite history in real-time, pretending that if they broadcast enough polished, one-sided packages, the world will forget who this land actually belongs to.
But the stones of Beaufort remember. The people of South Lebanon remember. You can occupy the soil, but you will never colonize the truth.
Don’t let the propaganda machine sanitize a war crime. Keep speaking up, keep sharing the real stories, and keep demanding accountability.
