Macklemore Calls for Free Palestine, Free Lebanon, Free Sudan and Free Congo

While the mainstream music industry continues to police, blacklist, and silence artists who speak out against empire, American rapper Macklemore just took to the stage to deliver an absolute masterclass in solidarity and unapologetic truth.
He directly addressed the horrific reality of the last two and a half years, mourning the loss of more than 100,000 innocent, beautiful souls slaughtered in cold blood.
“For what? For land that none of us own. We are visitors on this earth… we are meant to share it.”
He reminded the crowd of a fundamental truth that the ruling class desperately wants us to forget: None of us are free until all of us are free.
From Gaza and the West Bank to Lebanon, Sudan, Cuba, and the Congo, the same systems of corporate greed and militarism are driving displacement and genocide.
The corporate censors can try to hide the headlines, but they cannot stop the music, and they cannot defeat a united populace.
