Veteran British MP Jeremy Corbyn has officially launched The Gaza Tribunal: Britain’s Complicity in Genocide (co-authored with Neve Gordon and Shahd Hammouri, published via @plutopress with an afterword by Sally Rooney).
Speaking with @elias_jahshan on The New Arab Book Club, Corbyn called for a Chilcot-style inquiry into the UK’s role in arming and enabling war crimes in Gaza.
Features sworn testimony from 29 expert witnesses detailing UK arms sales, intelligence sharing, and international law violations resulting in the deaths of over 73,000 Palestinians.
Corbyn sharply criticized politicians who prioritized arms-trade profits over human lives while knowing the full scale of the destruction.
“International law can ultimately only be enforced through the court of public opinion.” Corbyn credited the millions marching globally as the true force enforcing international justice where governments have failed.
