A CNN NewsNight exchange turned into one of the sharpest on-air confrontations yet over the US-Iran war, when former Trump White House official Caroline Sunshine challenged pro-war commentator and major Trump donor, Hal Lambert’s claim that Iran has long been at war with the US.
Sunshine pressed him directly: “How many US citizens have they killed on US soil? It’s an easy answer. You should know it, or is it like Ted Cruz where you don’t know the population of Iran?”
Lambert’s response: “I don’t know.”
