Daizy in South Lebanon: Israel’s Destruction Seen Through the Eyes of a Local
September 11, 2026I WENT TO SOUTH LEBANON TO SEE THE EXTENT OF ISRAEL’S DESTRUCTION.
I’m standing with a friend of mine, Abbas al Haj Ahmad, in Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa, a small village next to Ali al-Taher, the site of massive Israeli bombings overnight. Abbas can’t enter his own village. He can’t go back to his family home because it has been destroyed amply with the homes of his brothers, sisters and cousins. It is almost empty. Everyone’s gone. Displaced. Abbas is trying not to break down on camera as he looks around at the empty , silent, ghostlike village that provided him th happiest times of his youth.
It was heartbreaking and the world needs to hear these true stories.

Abbass: They are destroying more houses everyday like you are you will hear now maybe more explosions. Every day, 4 or 5 houses are destroyed. So I think Nabatiyeh al Fawqa will be like a new Bint Jbeil. new Khiam. Same scenario is happening now in Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa. Okay. And I hope we finish this, as soon as possible. This situation.
Daizy: Well, we will get out of this problem, but the reality is that Israel is intensifying and escalating and claiming that the Lebanese framework agreement with the Lebanese government is falling apart and it’s justified, allegedly justified in destroying more and more homes and villages in southern Lebanon and entering further and further.
