The Jewish American on Reel Talk: Why Israel Banned Him From YouTube and Spotify
September 11, 2026
He was raised on Birthright trips and Zionist certainty. Today he is banned from Israel for life, he has lost a TikTok page with 2.1 million followers, and he no longer speaks to his father. Jacob Berger is an American actor and comedian who sailed towards Gaza on the Freedom Flotilla and was detained at sea by the Israeli navy.
In August he came to Lebanon, and I sat down with him in Beirut. We talked about what all of this has cost him, why he will not debate Zionists anymore, why he believes Israel will not stop at south Lebanon, and why he keeps making people laugh in a country the world keeps being told to fear.
The full conversation is out now. Watch it before you decide what you already know.
