Former Navy SEAL Turns on Trump: They’ve All Lied Straight to My Face
October 3, 2026
“THEY’VE ALL LIED STRAIGHT TO MY FACE”
Former Navy SEAL Shawn Ryan went into this election supportive of Trump. He wanted him to win. Now, he says, that’s changed.
“I think he’s totally gone against what he said he was gonna do.”
Ryan points to the deployment in Iran as a breaking point — calling it a blunder he can’t make sense of, and saying his former colleagues in the military feel they’re being deployed for Israel’s interests, not America’s.
But it’s not just Trump. After interviewing politicians across the entire spectrum — from Trump to Kamala Harris to RFK Jr. — Ryan says the pattern never changes.
“Every one of them that I’ve had on has lied straight to my face. And to everybody who watches.”
When even the people who are supposed to stand for something start sounding the same, what’s actually left to believe?

Interviewer: Have you changed your opinion on Trump now?
Interviewee: Oh yeah, I think he’s totally gone against what he said he was going to do.
Interviewer: Did you endorse Trump before the election?
Interviewee: I was supportive. I wanted him to win. I don’t think I gave any official endorsements or anything. I did get put in that sphere. We were talking to Kamala’s team.vI wanted to have her on. I wanted to have everybody on. So they said no. They said no. But it wasn’t just a hard deal. We were talking about it. We were coming up with an outline. I had all these things that I wanted to talk about. They said, well, we don’t want to talk about that. We don’t want to. I said, I’ll tell you what. I don’t care what you want to talk about. I know I can hold my own. You give me the topics and all develop the outline. How about that? And when Trump came on, was there anything he didn’t want to talk about? There were no guidelines. I think this should be a little bit of a bastion for the Democratic Party, but I had to navigate in these environments.
Interviewer: They learned when Kamala came on my show, which was after the election and after she’d lost and all that stuff. No guidelines.
Interviewee: Oh, really? Is there a. That’s good in my view. She was honest.
Interviewer: She said Biden kind of screwed me over. She was swearing.
Interviewee: You got the real thing.
Interviewer: And I just wish it offered that side of her to shows like yours beforehand, because it would have been good to see the comparison gap.
Interviewee: That’s what I wanted to do. I had RFK on when he was still running as an independent. We got very close to Kamala and then at the last minute they backed out. I don’t think it would have changed the outcome, but I wish it would have happened. Have you changed your opinion on Trump now? Oh, yeah. Really? Yeah.
Interviewer: Why?
Interviewee: Oh, man. For a multitude of reasons. To put him plainly. I’m not really happy about anything that’s happening. I think he’s totally gone against what he said he was going to do. One of the things I think a lot about is this situation in Iran, and how much of a blunder that appears to be.
Interviewer: Do you see a golden bridge or a positive outcome?
Interviewee: No, I don’t know what’s going on there anymore. Nothing seems to make any damn sense to me. I don’t think there’s any positive outcome for America.
Interviewer: When you talk to your former colleagues in the military. What’s the general sentiment around the deployment and the situation that…
Interviewee: They think that they are involved for another country’s interests.
Interviewer: For Israel’s interests?
Interviewee: Yeah.
Interviewer: Do you think America would be better off if the Democrats had won?
Interviewee: I think that these are seemingly more and more to be won in the same. Pretty much every one of them that I’ve heard has just lied straight to my face and to everybody everybody watches.
