Well, this is now sitting inside the European Parliament. It’s a massive statue depicting a completely naked, gold covered Donald Trump, which was just unveiled in Strasbourg. The satirical sculpture which was created by a Danish artist. It’s called the Orange Plague, and it’s also being referred to by many as the King of injustice. It stands about eight feet tall with its base, and it’s reportedly covered in 23 karat gold. The statue shows Trump sitting on the shoulders of another man who appears to be struggling under his weight, while Trump holds an absurdly long golf club. It was brought to the European Parliament by a Danish left wing lawmaker, Pare Claussen, who had a pretty direct message about any potential backlash. He said, quote, if someone is so thin skinned that they cannot tolerate the sculpture being exhibited in the European Parliament, then they have no place on the world stage. I wonder who he’s talking about. The statue is scheduled to remain on display through this Thursday. I think it’s pretty obvious that countries are looking at the US and thinking WTF, America? It’s one of the reasons why we wrote our book WTF America, which comes out soon, so make sure you go and preorder it now.
