No hedging. No diplomatic softening. Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez sat down with Jon Stewart the day after watching Trump address the UN General Assembly, and just said it plainly.
Sánchez’s point wasn’t personal, it was structural: on climate, on Iran, on the Middle East, Trump’s positions simply aren’t backed by most of the world anymore. Stewart’s response said the rest out loud: “We have difficulty dealing with his inability to speak in facts.”
A sitting head of state, on record, telling a comedian’s podcast that the most powerful person in the world gave a speech built on ideology instead of evidence. That’s not spin. That’s a world leader done pretending the emperor has clothes.

بلا مواربة، ودون تلطيف دبلوماسي للكلام؛ عبّر رئيس الوزراء الإسباني بيدرو سانشيز عن رأيه بصراحة تامة خلال لقائه مع جون ستيوارت، وذلك غداة استماعه لخطاب ترامب أمام الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة.
لم يكن انتقاد سانشيز موجهاً لشخص ترامب، بل كان انتقاداً جوهرياً للمواقف والسياسات؛ ففي قضايا المناخ وإيران والشرق الأوسط، لم تعد مواقف ترامب تحظى بتأييد معظم دول العالم. وقد عبّر ستيوارت بوضوح عما يكمن وراء ذلك قائلاً: “نجد صعوبة في التعامل مع عجزه عن الحديث بلغة الحقائق”.
رئيس دولة في منصبه يصرّح علناً -عبر برنامج “بودكاست” يقدمه فكاهي- بأن أقوى رجل في العالم ألقى خطاباً قائماً على الأيديولوجيا لا على الأدلة والبراهين. هذا ليس مجرد تلاعب بالكلمات أو محاولة لتوجيه الرأي العام، بل هو موقف زعيم عالمي قرر التوقف عن مجاراة الوهم.
