“Now Is the Time to Resist”: U.S. Navy Veteran Urges Soldiers to Refuse “Illegal” Iran War Orders

“NOW IS THE TIME TO RESIST.”
AT A MASS ANTI-WAR RALLY IN CHICAGO, U.S. NAVY VETERAN DANIEL LAKEMACHER DELIVERED A FIERY MESSAGE TO ACTIVE-DUTY TROOPS: REFUSE “ILLEGAL AND IMMORAL” ORDERS IN THE WAR ON IRAN.
Speaking to a crowd gathered for a “Stop the War on Iran” demonstration, Lakemacher urged soldiers who have not yet been deployed to stand by their conscience.
“If you joined for honor, courage, and commitment — if you joined to defend your communities — now is the time to defend them by refusing this illegal and immoral war,” he said.
As missile exchanges and regional attacks intensify — from Iran to Israel and Lebanon — voices inside the United States are increasingly questioning whether the country is being drawn into another prolonged Middle East war.
