Hezbollah Fighter Kills Senior Israeli Officer in Deadly South Lebanon Ambush

The tactical reality on the ground in Southern Lebanon continues to shatter the illusion of total military control. In a highly sophisticated, daring close-range operation, a single Hezbollah fighter successfully ambushed a unit of Israeli occupation forces inside the village of Qouzah, north of Aita al-Shaab. The precision strike resulted in the immediate death of Major (res.) Itamar Sapir, the deputy company commander in Battalion 7008 of the elite 551st “Arrows of Fire” Reserve Brigade.
Despite being deep within an area heavily occupied and controlled by the Israeli military, the resistance fighter completed the operation and successfully withdrew from the battlefield entirely unharmed.
The operation took place near a church compound in Qouzah, a frontline southern village located just 2.5 kilometers from the border. Despite extensive Israeli troop deployment, electronic surveillance, and air superiority, the fighter managed to maneuver undetected into a prime firing position.
As the Israeli unit moved through the area, the operative opened fire at extremely close range. Major Itamar Sapir was struck and killed instantly, while several other Israeli soldiers were wounded in the chaotic exchange of fire.
